Lenovo Claims To Make The World’s First Folding Screen Laptop

JAKARTA – Lenovo supports the Accelerate 19 event in Florida. The company introduced new devices from ThinkPads, ThinkCentres, ThinkBooks and others. The company also demonstrated its efforts in the areas of VR, enterprise and AI technology. The Chinese technology giant announced to Hexus on Tuesday (14.05.2013) that there are also the latest laptops with flip-up screens.

This folding-screen laptop was part of the ThinkPad X1 Premium family when it hit the market in 2020. Lenovo calls it the “world’s first foldable PC” with a folding screen that looks unique.

The company emphasizes that the X1 laptop is “not a well-known mobile phone, tablet or hybrid, but a laptop with a collapsible screen”. That said, this type of laptop design will not reduce productivity and reliability.

For productivity on the move, most physical keyboards are still considered important.

It is said that the design using this folding feature uses a 2K OLED panel with touch and pen compatibility manufactured by LG. When fully opened, the screen has a diagonal of 13.3 inches. When you’re in laptop mode, half of the screen displays at a diagonal of 9.6 inches.
